Fabrications retreat

So glad it's August and my youngest daughter is coming home from Europe soon.
Much to far away and too long a road.

Our guild is doing fractured photos. This is where you each person has a 20X 20 photo and cut it into 6 or 8 pieces
Those pieces are all swapped among the group and each one of us quilts, fuses or whatever on one of those 8 pieces. At the end all of your pieces quilted by others come back to you and you reassemble your photo.

A season of change

Had to put my friend Jack to sleep in May (he was 16) and will miss my buddy. I know he is happy in dog heaven and we will meet again. I still have my little Jack Russel Lucy, so someone is following me around.

My youngest daughter has graduated from high school and is headed to Europe for the summer.
Then she starts college in the fall. Hang on to your hat!

where have I been?

I haven't touched my art in 6 months and I miss it.

In September my boss was killed in a car accident and I was asked to be interim director. We were just beginning a campaign to save the county poor farm and I was thrown into the leadership spot. Luckily we were successful and I now can go back to being an artist who happens to work as an accountant (Assistant Director)

The trees are coming out and I plan to set up for more fabric painting. I love the mono
printing and melting Tyvek.
I have moved my studio to our great room. It has lot's of light and many windows.
